It is a foundation university established by the Development Education and Culture Foundation by Abdülkadir Gayretli with the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 14.7.2008 and numbered 2008/13951. University; It started undergraduate education as of 2011-2012 academic year with 6 faculties, 1 institute, 2 colleges and 2 vocational colleges.
In addition to being very popular among foreign students, Istanbul Gelişim University cooperates with 102 world universities and offers opportunities to associate, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students. With its campus in Istanbul, one of Turkey's commercial centers, it offers a huge research complex consisting of 112 student laboratory services. Istanbul Gelisim University has 17 research centers and 78 student clubs that allow students to participate in social, cultural, scientific and sports activities outside of the classroom.
